Angelo Fermo is a retired United States Homeland Security Special Agent and a founding member of the United States Department of Homeland Security. A former police officer prior to the September 11, 2001 attacks, Angelo was selected by the U.S. Government for advanced criminal investigator training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, Georgia, and graduated from the U.S. Customs Special Agent training program.

Angelo's early career centered on dismantling Al Qaeda Terrorist Finance Operations through Operation Green Quest — a U.S. Treasury "Follow the Money" program identifying money laundering networks funding terrorist cells. He was later selected to work for the U.S. Government's High Intensity Drug Trafficking Association (HIDTA) program, spending years disrupting Mexican Drug Cartels through court-authorized wiretaps, long-term undercover operations, and confidential source handling.

In 2007, Angelo was handpicked to work on a U.S. Government-sanctioned undercover operation targeting Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCOs) on a global scale — operating across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Central and South America. His performance led to selection into a unit of only 21 Special Agents nationwide tasked with building a Homeland Security Investigations Unit within CBP's National Targeting Center, where he served as a liaison to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) at Langley, VA.

Angelo retired as Homeland Security Special Agent Supervisor overseeing the Mobile and Montgomery offices. He brings over 22 years of federal criminal investigative and intelligence gathering experience to the Severance Investigations mission.
